系所沿革


本校為培育慈濟志業資訊人才,於95學年創辦資訊工程系, 招收四年制資訊工程系一班。因辦學績優獲教育部核准於98學年再增招生四年制資訊工程系一班,並於99學年分組為四年制「資訊工程組」及「資訊科技與管理組」各一班。為配合政府產業規劃及現今資訊潮流脈動,於102學年更名為資訊科技與管理系並分設為四年制「資訊科技組」48人及「資訊管理組」43人共91人。資訊科技組以數位內容結合雲端行動軟體應用;另資訊管理組則以企業電子化結合應用雲端網路應用專業技能培育為主。

本校並於104學年本校改名為科技大學,配合學校改制與科技產業脈動,本系於105學年度重新定位規劃系之發展特色,以多元發展理念規劃特色主軸:包含「數位多媒體設計」與「雲端行動網路應用」。主要內容包含App軟體開發、雲端網路應用、大數據、數位內容設計與互動多媒體設計等相關課程。同時為因應目前招生現況,從106學年開始縮減為40人。108學年度因應產業趨勢、社會脈動以及慈濟志業人才培育,調整修正課程特色主軸為「AI大數據」與「數位多媒體」。


History of Department


In order to cultivate talents in Information Technology fields, the Department of Information Technology and Engineering was established in 2006 and students were recruited into a four-year information engineering class. Due to the excellent academic performance, the recruitment for an additional class was approved by the Ministry of Education in year 2009 yet was divided into two different groups in 2010 which are Information Technology and Engineering and also Information Technology and Management. To cooperate with the government's plan and the current Information Technology trend, it was renamed as Department of Information Technology and Management in the 2013 which has 48 students in Information Technology Group and 43 students in Information Management Group with a total of 91 students. Information Technology Group was about the combination of digital content and cloud mobile software application while Information Management Group was about e-commerce with the collaboration of cloud network applications.

In 2015, our school was renamed as Tzu Chi University of Science and Technology. To cooperate with the restructuring of the school and the trend of the technology industry, our department re-positioned the curriculum targets of the department in 2016, including digital multimedia design and cloud network application. Covering courses such as application development, cloud network application, big data, digital content design and interactive multimedia design. In the meantime, in response to the current enrollment situation, the number of students has been reduced to 40 students starting in 2017. In 2019 due to the industry trend and the program of development of talent of Tzu Chi Organization has made the department change its characteristic aim to AI big data and Digital Multimedia.


系所目標與特色


本校的教育理念,以「慈悲喜捨」為校訓;以「專業與人文並重」為宗旨;以「品德教育、生活教育、全人教育」為目標,培育具大愛、感恩、尊重、關懷的優良學生。因應產業趨勢、社會脈動及慈濟志業人才培育,並根據校務長程發展計劃並融合本校教育理念,本系學生培育目標為以多元發展理念規劃特色主軸:主軸為「AI大數據」與「數位多媒體」。主要內容包含App軟體開發、雲端網路應用、大數據、數位內容設計與互動多媒體設計等相關課程。為配合政府政策並實現「落實優質務實致用技職教育、培育產業專技人才、強化產業競爭力」的理念,除提供師生最優質的研究學習資源,充實教師研究新知、掌握學術發展現況與全球趨勢外,並期引領學術潮流。

本系目前全面實習(自101學年開始暑假全面實習並於104學年開始四下全學期實習),積極與產業界合作並實施建教合作及職前最後一哩實務實習,除了將實務教學落實於課程外,並與產業界業師合作業師協同教學、業師專題指導,並遴聘業師擔任業界導師工作。本系依據專業技能人才培育,為落實畢業即就業之理想,於學生就學期間除培育相關專業技能外,相關課程之修習必須取得乙級技術士以上之實務證照並列入畢業門檻,同時必須通過並取得企業技術實習學分成績,獲得企業認同後,始得畢業。另為確立教學及實習品質,及學生實習成效,除依學校高教深耕計畫及學校相關規範進行外,本系另訂立教學品保機制、實習企業檢核、定期企業實習訪視、學生意見回饋等機制以提升教學及實習水平。

同時,為落實全人教育理念,提供學生自由學習環境,培養全人素養與跨領域領導人才,達成推動全人教育的發展目標。本校亦依學生基本能力需求訂定相關畢業門檻以全面提升,學生專業知識、實務能力及人文素養。


Aim and Characteristic of Department


The school’s philosophy was to develop brilliant students that are symphonic, grateful, respectful, and caring by having “benevolence and giving” as the school motto; “professionalism and humanities” as purpose; “ moral, life and humanity education” as our aim. In order to cooperate with the industry trends, social trends, and the cultivation of talents for Tzu Chi, with the combination of the school’s long-term development plan and the school’s philosophy, the department’s goal was to cultivate students in multiple aspects which the main aspects are “AI Big Data” and “Digital Multimedia”. The course included App development, cloud network application, big data, digital content design, and interactive multimedia design. To cooperate and accomplish the government’s concept of “Implementing high-quality of practical technology, cultivate industrial talents and strengthen the competitiveness of industrial”, we provide the best quality of research and learning resources to the teachers, enriching the knowledge and grasping the latest academic situation and global trend, yet also leading the academic trend.

The department conducts a comprehensive internship program (summer internship since 2012 and full internship since the second semester of the fourth academic year), we cooperate actively with the industry to implement learning-teaching collaboration and internship before employment. In addition, practical teaching was implemented outside the curriculum, teaching cooperated with industry experts, and guidance of assignments was provided by experts yet also invited industry experts to serve as industry mentors. The cultivation of the department was based on professional skills and in order to achieve employment upon graduation, other than just cultivating relevant professional skills during the schooling period, students are required to obtain a 2nd level and above technician certificate which is listed in the graduation threshold. Before graduating, students are obliged to pass and obtain credits from the internship enterprise yet obtain the approval of ability from the enterprise. In addition, in order to establish the quality of teaching and internship as well as the effectiveness of the student’s internship, other than following the Higher Education SPROUT Project and the relevant school’s norms, the department also formulates a teaching quality assurance mechanism, internship enterprise inspections, regular visits of internship enterprise and students feedback in order to improve the teaching and internship standards.

Meanwhile, in order to implement the concept of holistic education, cultivate holistic qualities and cross-field leadership talents and achieve the promotion of the development goal of holistic education, free learning environments were provided to students. Our school also formulate relevant graduation thresholds based on students’ basic abilities in order to improve students’ professional knowledge, practical ability, and humanistic quality comprehensively.
