Tzu Chi University of Science and Technology was established by the Tzu Chi Buddhist Compassion Relief Foundation in 1989 under the guidance of Dharma Master Cheng Yen. The school has a nursing department (five-year, two-year and four-year), medical imaging and radiology, medical and health management, marketing and distribution management, and information technology and management. There is also a long-term care research institute and a radiological science research institute.
The school has been recognized by all walks of life for more than 20 years, and has been awarded by the Ministry of Education for outstanding performance, administrative evaluation, teacher evaluation, and the Ministry of Education's technical education project performance outstanding contribution award and supervising inspection and other honorary deeds; passed the Ministry of Education The evaluation of the school affairs of the science and technology school and the evaluation of the department. For example, the 19th Malaysia MTE International Invention Exhibition and Invention Competition won one silver, two bronze and one special award in 2020, and the 2019 Nuremberg International Invention Exhibition in Germany Nursing students won gold medals and so on.
